The Itinerary block is one of the most powerful features in Mogu, as it allows you to structure a trip’s day-by-day experience in a clear and visual way. In this article, we’ll cover the basics to get started, as well as advanced tips to help you get the most out of it:
1. Basic itinerary creation
The first step is to correctly define the start date and duration, as when you drag the itinerary block in, all days will be generated based on the selected dates.
Each day is composed of a title, a description, a selection of images, and any additional blocks you want to include.
Once created, you can choose how the itinerary is displayed: as tabs (days side by side, default view) or as a dropdown (days stacked vertically).
2. Duplicating, editing, or hiding days
When selling tailor-made trips, itineraries often change frequently. It is therefore essential to master the ability to duplicate, move, hide, and edit days in order to apply changes as quickly and efficiently as possible.
3. Using maps in the itinerary
You can enrich each day by adding maps, helping clients visualise routes and better understand the journey. To do this, simply include any service block within the day, as geolocated elements automatically generate a visual map.
4. Combining itineraries from the library
Forget copy and paste. If you specialise in a specific product or destination and much of your content is reusable, you can use the library feature. This allows you to save itinerary blocks and combine them together—for example, 4 days in Tokyo combined with 4 days in Osaka.
5. Create a base itinerary with extensions
Now that you are familiar with the previous tips, you are ready to learn how to build a base itinerary with different extensions.
