With this feature, you can send all notifications to your travelers from your own email address (for example, [email protected]) instead of using MOGU’s default sending address.
Why it is important
Strengthen your brand image: Your customers will receive emails from an address they recognize and associate with your business, providing a more professional and consistent experience.
Build greater trust: Emails sent from your own domain feel more familiar to travelers, increasing the likelihood that they will open and read them.
100% personalized experience: We recommend using this setup together with a custom web domain so that all communication with travelers reflects your company’s identity.
How to configure the sending address
You can configure both the email address from which notifications are sent and the reply-to address where emails will be received if your customers respond.
Step 1: Enter the sending email address
In Settings > Appearance, you’ll find the “Personalized email” section.
Click the “Configure my email” button and enter the email address you want to use to send email notifications.
Step 2: Add the DNS records
You will see on screen a list of DNS records that you need to add in your domain provider. You can copy them by clicking “Copy all records”. To complete this step, ask your IT team or the team that manages your corporate website for help.
Once you have copied and added them to your domain provider, you will be able to verify that everything has been set up correctly by clicking the “Verify now” button.
ℹ️ The DNS propagation process may take a few minutes. If the verification fails, we recommend trying again after 15 minutes.
If it was successful
You will see that the configuration status has changed to “Verified”.
By clicking the “Done” button, you can proceed to configure the reply-to email address.
If it failed
You will see that the configuration status has changed to “Not verified”. To fix this:
Make sure the issue persists after 15 minutes by clicking the “Verify again” button.
If the second verification still fails, it means that the DNS records were not copied correctly. Configure them again, making sure they are correct, and repeat the verification process.
If it was successful, but with warnings
In this case, the configuration has been completed successfully, but we have detected that your emails may not be delivered correctly to recipients due to your domain’s DMARC configuration. Here we explain this in more detail.
By clicking the “Understood, continue” button, you can proceed to configure your reply-to email address.
How to configure the reply-to email address
Once you have configured the sending address, you can configure the reply-to address, which is where you will receive emails from your customers if they reply to any of the emails they receive from MOGU.
ℹ️ If you do not change the reply-to address, the same address configured as the sending address will be used.
To configure it, simply enter the desired email address in the “Reply-to email” field:
This address will be used by default as the reply-to address for notifications related to all trips. However, if you need to use a different one for a specific trip, you can set a new address in the Booking module configuration, under the “Notifications” section:
FAQs
Why does my verification keep failing?
Wait at least 15 minutes - DNS changes take time to spread. If you just added the records, wait a bit before clicking “Retry verification”.
Check your records are correct - Copy the values exactly as shown in MOGU, including dots and dashes. Small typos cause failures.
Already have a TXT record starting with v=spf1? - You can only have one SPF record per domain. Check if your domain (the part after @ in the email you entered) already has one. If so, add
include:mail.app.moguplatform.comto your existing record instead of creating a new one. Contact support if you need help.
What does the yellow banner (DMARC warning) mean?
Your email was verified successfully, but your domain has strict email security settings. This is good for security, but if your DNS records ever become misconfigured, emails may be affected:
Your DMARC setting | What happens if records become misconfigured |
p=reject | Emails won't be delivered at all |
p=quarantine | Emails may go to spam |
p=none | No issues — emails will be delivered normally |
As long as your DNS records stay correctly configured, your emails will be delivered normally.
