Set up Inespay to get paid by online bank transfer

We’ll walk you through, step by step, how to start receiving payments via instant bank transfer from MOGU

Inespay is a payment gateway that lets you charge customers via instant bank transfer using open banking technology (PSD2 payment initiation). The customer pays from their online banking and you receive the money immediately.

It is an authorized payment provider connected to more than 400 banks across Spain, Italy and Portugal. For your customers it's a secure, real-time payment with the confidence of operating within their own bank.

By activating Inespay in MOGU, you'll be able to offer this payment method on your payment links and checkout, alongside the other methods you already use.

Important: Inespay is currently available in Spain, Portugal and Italy for transactions in euros. They will soon expand their coverage to Mexico.

Setting up Inespay in MOGU

To activate Inespay you only need two credentials provided by your Inespay account: an API Key and an API Token (if you don't have them yet, keep reading here).

1. In MOGU, go to Settings → Payments.

2. Enable Inespay.

3. Paste your API Key and your API Token.

4. Save your changes.

From that moment on, Inespay will be available as a payment method for your customers.

How to get your API Key and API Token in Inespay

These credentials are generated when you create a Production project in the Inespay dashboard. To get them, follow these three steps:

1️⃣ Create the project

In the Inespay dashboard, click Create → Create Project and select the Production environment. The wizard then guides you through 4 steps:

  1. Basic information: the project name (the trade name your customers will see on the payment portal), the countries where it will operate and, optionally, your logo (also shown to your customers at checkout).

  2. Project type: choose the Checkout use case and fill in your platform's details. In Website, enter https://v2.app.moguplatform.com.

  3. Payee IBAN: add the account where you want to receive payments and set it as the default.

  4. Users: review who will have access to the project and click Create Project to create it.

2️⃣ Configure the authorized domains

Once the project is created, go to API Integration → Domains and Redirects in the side menu and add the following to the authorized domains list:

As the redirection method, leave Standard redirection selected.

3️⃣ Copy the keys

Go to API Integration → API Keys in the side menu and click View API Key and View API Token to copy both values. Then paste them into MOGU, under Settings → Payments.

The per-transaction cost of getting paid by online transfer with Inespay has two components:

How your customer sees it

When your customer pays by online transfer through Inespay, they follow a simple 3-step process:

  1. Select their bank from the list of available institutions.

  2. Log in their online banking with their usual credentials.

  3. Authorize the payment by reviewing the details and confirming with their bank's security procedure.


​For the customer it's a familiar and secure experience, as they stay within their own bank's environment the whole time.


How to create your Inespay account

If you don't have an Inespay account yet, you'll need to register your company on their platform. It's a 100% online process, guided through 5 steps, that you can usually complete in around 10–15 minutes if you have your details to hand. As this is a regulated payment method, Inespay needs to verify your company, so you'll sign a contract and they'll validate your information before activating the account.

Have ready: your company's tax ID, the IBAN where you'll receive payments, a billing email, the details of the representative who will sign the contract, and a rough forecast of your business volume.


​Once you've register as a user on the platform with an email and password, click the Create button and select the Company Onboarding option.


​The signup wizard has these steps:

  1. Identification details: company tax ID, registered company name and registered address and trade name.

  2. Economic activity: what your business does, your business volume forecast and some compliance questions.

  3. Billing: VAT %, billing email and bank account (IBAN) for the SEPA direct debit.

  4. Representative: you select the person who will sign the contract.

  5. Contract formalization: review and signature to complete the registration.


​Once you've signed the contract, your account becomes active and you can follow the steps to get your API credentials and set up Inespay in MOGU.
